Yet Another Reason Why My Husband is Da Bomb

They now point out the capitol (and the GOLD!) every time we pass by!
He took the girls to the Capitol this summer, and on many other little mini field-trips around the city.  They still talk about those days, and I think it made them feel very special to have some time just with Robi.

The tiniest girl by the grandest portrait ever.

What was your favorite field trip destination as a kid?  I used to love the zoo, but think I learned most at the High Museum of Art.

A Day with Daddy-O

Walking fast just like Daddy
On Friday, Robi took Flannery to explore the city and see a puppet show at the Center for Puppetry Arts.  They had a great time together.  I'm so glad Flanna will have these sweet memories of special times with her daddy.  He's such a good example for the kiddos in our life.

Today, Flanna was telling her aunt Anne that "R-O-B-E-R-T" spells Robert.  Anne said, "Oh, so that's your dad's name?  But what do you call him?"  And Flanna said, "I just call him Daddy-O."

We love that Daddy-O.

Her very own marionette!

What special times have you created for the children in your life?
